About the Good Village

Nestlé Australia presents The Good Village, in partnership with the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS). An education program developed and designed for teachers, by teachers to upskill young Australians on their health and wellbeing, fitness, nutrition and sustainability understanding.

This program is a free teaching resource, presenting an overarching design challenge supported by a range of differentiated physical and inquiry-based activities for K-6 students. All of the activities are linked to the Australian curriculum, can be used independently or as part of a Health and Physical Education unit of work and explored at their own pace.

The overarching design project requires students to develop their skills in four areas, represented by the four sections on the main map and delivered through a range of activities in each. After completing these activities, students should have adequate knowledge and understanding to apply their new skills to the main challenge as a summative assessment task.

All activities can be completed by students both in the classroom and at home, catering for remote learners and focusing on the development of skills through practical application of knowledge through cross curricular outcomes.

Celebrating over 20 years in partnership with the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS)
